Madison Campground

Good news, GART followers! Alyssa manned up and slept in the tent last night. I even taught her how to play rummy but then she had the nerve to beat me 50 to -15! Even better, it was the warmest I've ever experienced in the park, prob 45 degrees. I didn't even need a sweatshirt. And unlike last year, the tent actually kept out the rain. Woo.

Want to see what our campground looks like? No?! Well tough!

This is where I slept:

This is where we eat (I have no idea why we brought a table cloth!)

Where we cook

How we drive

Where the non-adventurous sleep

And where we poop

However! I've just buried the lead, as they say in the world of journalism. Isn't Yellowstone supposed to be beautiful? Why have I been yapping away about a campsite? I don't know! Prob bc I woke up two hours ago and my lane family is still asleep. The point is, this is the view of the Madison River at sunrise, about a three minute walk from the campsite

Not too shabby huh? Even cooler, the river is about 85 degrees due to steam vents. I checked! Feels like bathwater you can kind of see the vents here, the rocks have been bleached purple by sulphur

And here's the steam rising

As Larry David would say, pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty good.
