Chicago

I'm in Chicago, but nothing has happened yet. Other sad things did occur, however. The sad things all involve me forgetting important things, like:

1) My glasses - useful night driving and for spotting bears
2) My lucky water bottle - useful for drinking water and clubbing bears when they get too grabby
3) My hiking flannel - useful for warmth and attracting bears (it is bear colors).

I know zilch about Toledo. According to wikipedia, Tom Cruise's beard is from there. Don't sue me, Maverick! Scientology is cool! Everyone knows you're soooo straight.

Ahem. Road trip is going well. We missed seeing Jenny in Youngstown due to some scheduling snafus. We will be in Chicago in a few hours and are having dinner with lydia's ole chum. Then we may drive a bit more or just crash in the windy city.

We just had some grand Mexican food. I've basically had Mexican for 40% of my meals this week.

Roar

We saw our first grizzly!! It was fighting a bison. I liked it so much that I painted a picture of it, and then I took a picture of my painting.
